Selectmen’s Minutes
November 28, 2007
Opened: 7:05 P.M.

Present:  Jim Wettlaufer, Earl Johnson, Christian Petersen

7:05 P.M.:  Tax Classification Hearing

Motion 112807-1:  Motion made by Jim Wettlaufer, seconded by Earl Johnson to set a single tax rate for the entire Town of Holland at $11.15 for fiscal year 2008.  *please see amendment below.

Motion 112807-2:  Motion made by  Earl Johnson, seconded by Christian Petersen, all in favor, to accept the minutes of the November 14th meeting as read.

7:15 P.M.:  Pole Hearing

Motion 112807-3:  Motion made by Earl Johnson, seconded by Jim Wettlaufer, all in favor, to approve the installation of two new poles at the intersection of Howlett Drive and Stafford Road.

Motion 112807-4:  Motion made by Jim Wettlaufer, seconded by Christian Petersen to sign the contractor agreement with MassHighway for repair work on Mashapaug Road (work completed as a result of 2005 flood), all in favor.

The Selectmen moved and approved a decision to allow the Highway Department to deficit spend for snow and ice in 2008, all in favor.

Motion 112807-5:  Motion made by Jim Wettlaufer, seconded by Christian Petersen to approve Nicholas Merriman to the Cable Commission, term to expire June 30, 2008, all in favor.

Motion 112807-6:  Motion made by Jim Wettlaufer, seconded by Earl Johnson to sign a $1,350,000 TAN Renewal Loan, all in favor.

Liquor License Renewals were signed.

2008 Business Licenses were signed.

Warrants were signed and delivered to the Treasurer.

Motion 112807-7:  Motion made by Jim Wettlaufer, seconded by Christian Petersen to adjourn the meeting at 7:50 P.M., all in favor.
