Motion 06202007-1: Motion made by Earl Johnson, seconded by James Wettlaufer to accept the minutes of June 13 meeting as read, all in favor.
Motion 06202007-2 Motion made by James Wettlaufer, seconded by Christian Petersen, all in favor, to appoint Mary vandenBerg to the Conservation Commission, term to expire June 30, 2010.
Motion 06202007-3: Motion made by Christian Petersen, seconded by Earl Johnson to appoint James Wettlaufer to the Conservation Commission, term to expire June 30, 2010.
(Two votes taken in favor, one abstention: James Wettlaufer abstained.)
Motion 06202007-4: Motion made by James Wettlaufer, seconded by Earl Johnson, all in favor, to appoint the following:
Bob Garon as Electrical Inspector, term to expire June 30, 2008
Richard Lussier as Assistant Electrical Inspector, term to expire June 30, 2008.
Ken Basdekis, Veteran’s Graves Officer, term to expire June 30, 2008
Jack Keough, Zoning Enforcement Officer, term to expire June 30, 2008
Elaine Lengowski, Executive Secretary, term to expire June 30, 2008
Motion 06202007-5: Motion made by James Wettlaufer, seconded by Earl Johnson, all in favor, to reaffirm a February 20, 2002 vote of the Board of Selectmen to identify the Quaboag Valley Business Assistance Corporation as a regional agency and to amend its community development strategy to make it compatible with the mission of the Quaboag Valley Community Development Corporation.
Allied Waste one-year contracts were taken under advisement.
Motion 06202007-6: Motion made by Earl Johnson, seconded by Christian Petersen, all in favor, to adopt the new Section 125 Cafeteria Plan of Mass Health.
Motion 06202007-7: Motion made by James Wettlaufer, seconded by Christian Petersen, all in favor, to sign a $1,400,000 TAN loan renewal.
2008 Cable Committee scholarships were announced; they have been awarded to:
Jake Antonovitch
Marc Casavant
Melissa Castonguay
Jesse Flannery
Jennifer Livernois
Warrants were signed and delivered to the Treasurer.
