THOMAS & CAROL FERACO                                                        CASE NO. SP 1201

The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on May 31, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Memorial Hall, 1196 Main Street, Holden, MA on the Application of Thomas & Carol Feraco for property located at 12 Acorn Drive for a SPECIAL PERMIT for an accessory apartment.

Members in attendance:  R. Spakauskas, R. Fraser, J. Deignan and R. Butler.

The Chairman called the meeting to order.  Since there were no objections, the reading of the application and findings of fact was waived.

The applicant addressed the Board and gave an overview of the case.  Mr. Feraco would like to add a handicapped accessible apartment to his home in order to accommodate his elderly parents.  It will be one level, with no stairs and three ways of egress.

R. Spakauskas asked the applicant to indicate on the plan the exact location of the proposed accessory apartment.

Since there were no further comments or questions, the public hearing was closed at 7:25 p.m.

The Board unanimously voted to approve the special permit with the following condition:  1)  The handicapped accessory apartment is subject to the plan as submitted dated October 15, 2011 entitled ‘Feraco Residence, Proposed Addition, 12 Acorn Drive, Holden, MA’ A-4.
