Hearing (Hill) August 10, 2006
TOWN OF HOLDEN
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
HEARING

Malcolm & Dolores                                                                                       Hill SP 0611

The Zoning Administrator held a public hearing on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in Memorial Hall, 1196 Main Street, Holden, MA on the Application of Malcolm & Dolores Hill for property located at 300 River Street for a Special Permit to add a 3-car garage with an accessory apartment above.

Pamela Harding, Zoning Administrator, called the hearing to order. Since there were no objections, reading of the legal notice and list of abutters was waived.

The Zoning Administrator asked the applicant to submit architectural drawings, which he did and a copy was made for the file. He indicated a colonial house with a garage at the end and a tiny breezeway in between. She also asked for confirmation that a relative would occupy the apartment. Mr. Hill said his parents, Malcolm and Ruth Hill, would be living there.

Since there were no further comments or questions, the public hearing was officially closed at 9:15 a.m.

The Zoning Administrator approved the special permit with the conditions that 1) The construction of the accessory apartment must be handicapped accessible according to the Building Commissioners determination; 2) The occupants of the accessory apartment are restricted to Malcolm and Ruth Hill; 3) The exterior appearance must maintain that of a single family home.
