February 11, 2010 record of meeting approved.

Traffice Access Management (TAM) Follow up of CMRPC
CMRPC has nearly completed the Westboro TAM study. It is currently being reviewed internally by town officials, who reportedly expected it to be more specifically tailored to the needs of Westboro, as opposed to a generic document. T/CC has requested a copy of the Westboro report. CMRPC is currently collecting data for the Boylston project, such as: aerial photos, zoning bylawas, curb ct inventory, traffic volume data, and accident data.

Crosswalks at Main Street and Shrewsbury Street
There is nothing new to report on this issue. The owner of the plaza may return from Florida before the next meeting, in which case Jim Zingarelli may have an update.

Other
a. The owner of the Miles Funeral Home at 1158 Main Street has expressed an interest in gaining access from his parking lot to Highland Street through town property to accommodate overflow parking. T/CC recommends the owner make a formal request to the town and come before the committee. The issue of night visibility of police details was also discussed.

b. T/CC discussed the issue of bucket/boot drives for charity collections at major intersections such as Main Street and Route 31. T/CC feels that collecting money from vehicles in traffic poses a danger to the collectors, whether they are children or firefighters. T/CC recommends that charity collections not be conducted in the road and that the possibility of creating a town bylaw to prohibit such activity be explored. A copy of this record of meeting will be sent to the Holden Police Department.

c. The issue of the evergreen screening at the intersection of Doyle Road and Shrewsbury Street was resurrected. T/CC suggested that the town replace the overgrown shrubbery with a shorter variety that will not block driver visibility. A plant height of 2 to 2 1/2 feet would be more appropriate.
