Traffice Access Management (TAM)
The Town grant request has been taken off the DLTA list, perhaps for budget reasons. Per Otto Lies, the Traffic Division of CMRPC will pick up Holden's request ($11,000). Rutland may piggyback Holden's TAM study as part of the Rt. 122 A corridor study. Jim Zingarelli will invite Mary Ellen Blunt of CMRPC to meet with T/CC. The study would start in October and be completed in December.
In the interim, site plan review changes should be considered. Criteria for traffic management, to increase the traffic Level of Service could be adopted by the Planning Board.
Don Lawton will take the information garnered from the TAM Internet search to crease a list "Guidelines to the Planning Board".
Road Striping
Road striping is up-coming (under the auspices of the Police Department).
Crosswalk at Main and Shrewsbury Streets
A request has been made to install a crosswalk at the intersection of Main and Shrewsbury Streets to gain access to the Rite Aid retail area. A practical location for the crosswalk would be just past Alden Research, crossing into the retail area. T/CC will review this location. The property owner would have to open up the island to make this work.
Post Office
The improved ingress/egress to the Post Office works well. Thanks go to Jim Zingarelli and the DPW.
New
Bridge repair work will begin on 122A by the New Jefferson Mill.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20PM.
