Memorial Day Parade Committee Meeting Minutes

    April 15, 2014 Gale Free Library


Attendance:

David Gallagher
Shelby Pickett
Gary Antinarella
Glenn Gaudette

Discussion of old business:

  • Zona family info still pending
  • Need to get info for brochures and get printed
  • Elementary Schools on board for the banners for parade
  • Flyers were made for high school and middle school for art/essay contest
  • Heard back from Big Y and we are pretty set on them posting artwork in the cafe and they may be donating food to the parade

Still waiting  to hear from HPD and from Chief Chandler for parade detail

The MDP banner is at the light department ( all set)

New business:

  • Recommend John Barber to be a committee member
  • Ask Palomar Printing if they can make some new shirts for the committee
  • Need parade permits
  • Contact Glenn Sullivan for Walkie Talkies
  • Contact Elementary schools to see how many kids would march
  • Glenn Gaudette to contact Holden TV to video the parade
  • Rev. John Barber is allowing us usage of chairs, Utilities, portable PA system and will manage all Clergy/church participation
  • Shelby is to work on the roles of committee members and send it to all members


Next meeting is scheduled for May 1st at 7:00  PM at the Starbard Building
