HOLDEN FINANCE COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
January 20, 2010
Town Hall

Members Present: Al Berg, Paul Challenger, Jim Dunn, Peter Lacy, Rick Bates, Glenn Gaudette, Bob Lavigne, Marilynn Foley

Members Absent: Don Mancini

Also Present: Jim Shuris, DPW Director

The meeting was called to order at 7:04.

The Committee discussed with Director Shuris the status of the Public Building Restoration Projects. The Starbard Building is 100% complete and the Town Hall and Damon House are 80% complete. The Hendrick's House project will go out to bid February 17, 2010. The Committee will monitor the funds after the bid is granted. We also received the cost backup information on the projects.

Director Shuris also discussed with the Committee the status of the snow removal account at this time.

The committee discussed the WRSD agreement concerning their budget and whether or not they can increase their budget after the annual Town Meeting vote. Al will ask Town Council for an opinion.

The Committee discussed the new Town Manager contract and a request for a transfer of funds from the Reserve Account. A motion by Rick 2nd by Marilynn to transfer $35,000.00 from the Reserve Fund to the Manager's Salary and Wage Account was voted unanimously.

Al will attend the January 21, 2010 W/S meeting.

A motion by Rick 2nd by Jim to accept the minutes of December 9, 2009 was voted unanimously as amended (abstained Paul).

The meeting adjourned at 8:25.
