HOLDEN CULTURAL COUNCIL
MEETING MINUTES
November 8, 2006


7:00 PM         Memorial Hall

Members Present:        Mary E.L. Shepherd, Co-Chair, Judy Sikes, Co-Chair, Karen Halley,
Lisa DeCiero, Elizabeth Helder


Ms. Shepherd called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.  Members reviewed the 19 applications submitted for funding in FY 07.  The Holden Cultural Council requires local sponsorship in order for an application to be considered for funding.

Motion by Liz Helder, seconded by Karen Halley, it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO DENY THE FOLLOWING SEVEN (7) APPLICATIONS FOR LACK OF LOCAL SPONSORSHIP.

Motion by Liz Helder, seconded by Karen Halley it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO DENY THE APPLICATION OF WOMEN OF NOTE FOR A BARBERSHOP CHORUS BECAUSE HOLDEN DAYS HAS OTHER SPONSOR FUNDING AND MACEY & HART’S CONCERT WITH THE SENIORS SINCE THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT PARTIAL FUNDING.

Motion by Karen Halley, seconded by Liz Helder, it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE FUNDING OF $5,075.00 FOR FY 07.
