MINUTES
HCTV Studio October 13, 2011
800 Main Street 7:00 P.M.
MEMBERS PRESENT: Hank Ouellette Patt Popple, Larry Popple, Ginny Ursin
ALSO PRESENT: Jay Brunetta, Public Access Director
- Minutes of Meeting of August 18, 2011 were reviewed and accepted.
- Playback system. The new system is on order and just waiting for all of the pieces to arrive. This system will have new bulletin boards, 4 TB of storage, auto page creator, streaming video and many other great features. Installation and training are included in the purchase price.
- Director’s Notes
Studio Clean-Up: going for a fresh start, old sets are gone, going through VHS tapes, etc.
Satellite Dish: It is working well but Classic Arts moved and waiting for Bob Berg to reprogram and tweak. Time to investigate getting a new dish?
Editing Software: Upgrade to Final Cut X, Compressor 4 and Motion 5.
Girl Scout Group to tour Studio on October 27th: Media Badge, Newscast, Field Equipment, Career Possibilities
Help at Home Booklet: Karen Halley (Wachusett Food Pantry) looking for assistance in printing booklet as we supplied last year.
New England Broadcast Expo: November 2nd at the DCU Center. Jay will attend to check out the latest trends in technology. One of the sponsors is The Camera Company which has supplied equipment and information to us in the past.
Worcester State University Intern Fair October 27th: Jay will attend this fair which has been a good source for interns in the past.

Website is being reworked to make it less cluttered and create icons. It has been essentially unchanged for 5 years.
Broadcast Pix Slate Portable: Jay is looking into this to use as a portable production system.
