CABLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES
MEETING NUMBER 207
HCTV Studio     February 9, 2009
800 Main Street 7:30 P.M.

MEMBERS PRESENT:         Larry Popple, Patt Popple, Ginny Ursin.
ALSO PRESENT:   Johnny Suire, Public Access Director

Charter License Renewal: Larry will meet next Monday with Tom Cohan from Charter to discuss the license.

Control Room CCU's: AdTech has finished the Remote Control Units (RCU) installation at the studio. The tally lights are now fully functional.

Budget: The current year's budget - FY2009 - is on track. Johnny is drawing up the FY2010 Budget. There are no big changes - looks pretty much like current budget.

WRHS Wiring: The cable installation will be done by AdTech during February winter vacation. It will include the auditorium, the black box theater and the media center. This should put us on live for the next town meeting.

Updates from Johnny:
a. Sue Sullivan from the WRSD office has asked Johnny for help on a huge district-wide project on a Listening Initiative Project involving 5 thirty minute programs. Go to http://www.wrsd.net/literacy/ for more information.

b. The WRHS Annual Madrigal Dinner was taped for presentation on Channel 13.

c. Eric taped and is editing the WRHS Honors Choirs performance at Mohegan Sun with Kenny Rogers held in December.

d. Faces and Places is going strong.

e. Cub Scout Pack 46 is coming into the studio on Wednesday night for a "show and tell" on TV production by Johnny for a merit badge.

It was noted that Andy Fagerquist has recently passed away. Andy was a prolific video chronicler of activities in, around and about Holden. He was instrumental in laying the foundation for the current success of HCTV.

Next Meeting: Tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 30, 2009 at 7:30 pm but later changed to Monday, April 13, 2009.
