INTERVIEW MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 16, 2010

Present: Chairman David White, Anthony Renzoni, Kimberly Ferguson, Robert Lavigne, James Jumonville

Candidate Interviews – Cultural Council and Historic District Commission
Selectmen interviewed Ms. Mary Shepherd for reappointment to the Cultural Council and Mr. Michael Elmes for appointment to the Historic District Commission.
It was noted that Ms. Shepherd previously spent 6 years on the Cultural Council and served as co-chair of the group. After taking the required one-year absence as directed in the LCC guidelines, she was appointed to fill a one-year vacancy. She said she was seeking an appointment to fill a three-year vacancy. As a local community artist, Ms. Shepherd said she believes in community service.
The Board interviewed Mr. Michael Elmes to fill a vacancy on the Historic District Commission. Mr. Elmes said he has an interest in history and the sense of place created by the Historic District.
Motion by Sel. Renzoni, seconded by Sel. Lavigne, it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPOINT MARY SHEPHERD TO THE HOLDEN CULTURAL COUNCIL FOR A TERM EXPIRING JUNE 30, 2013.
Motion by Sel. Renzoni, seconded by Sel. Ferguson, it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPOINT MICHAEL ELMES TO THE HOLDEN HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION FOR A TERM EXPIRING DECEMBER 31, 2013.
2. Adjourn to Regular Meeting
Motion by Sel. Renzoni, seconded by Sel. Ferguson, it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO ADJOURN TO THE AUGUST 16, 2010 REGULAR SELECTMEN MEETING AT 6:30PM.
