INTERVIEW MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER 21, 2009

Present: Chairman Kimberly Ferguson, Anthony Renzoni, David White, Ken O’Brien

Candidate Interview – Zoning Board of Appeals
Selectmen interviewed Mr. James Deignan for reappointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Sel. White told Mr. Deignan that residents’ feel slighted and put down when addressing the ZBA with questions/concerns.
Mr. Deignan said that residents sometimes speak at inappropriate times or may not like a decision made by the ZBA. However, the Chair and Committee members know the regulations and operate by the book. No one on the Committee has ever been rude: sometimes people just don’t want a 40B in their backyard.
Sel. O’Brien requested that the Committee give the public the opportunity to vent its frustrations with a ruling and use sensitivity in dealing with the residents.
Motion by Sel. Renzoni, seconded by Sel. O’Brien, it was VOTED 4-0 TO REAPPOINT JAMES DEIGNAN TO THE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS FOR THREE YEARS.
2. Recess to Regular Meeting
Motion by Sel. White, seconded by Sel. Renzoni, it was UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO RECESS TO THE DECEMBER 21, 2009 REGULAR SELECTMEN MEETING AT 6:25PM.
