MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS

1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion was made by Beverly Potvin Kenniston, and seconded by James Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of April 9, 2012 meeting.
2. Vision Government Solutions Users Group
The Principal Assessor attended the Vision Government Solutions Software Users Group meeting on May 16-18, 2012. Many changes and upgrades are being offered to clients including cloud computing hosting services. The new version 7 software will be available for the Fiscal Year 2014 Revaluation. The cost to convert is estimated at $5000. More information will be available within the coming months.
3. FY2013 Preliminary Tax Bills
The assessors have begun the process of preparing for the FY2013 Preliminary Tax Bills. New construction is being visited and percent of completion is being checked and updated for the July 1 assessment date. Personal Property values have been updated after reviewing True Forms of List and visual inspections will take place in the coming months.
4. Town Meeting Warrant Art. #25
The assessors discussed town meeting warrant articles. Article #25 would increase the amount of Tax Exemptions available to Senior Citizens from $500 to $1,000. This board meeting will adjourn to attend the Adjourned Annual Town Meeting at WRHS Auditorium.
5. Next Meeting Date
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 3:00 P.M.
