1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion was made by Beverly Potvin Kenniston and seconded by James Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of the
March 19, 2012 meeting.
2. Real Estate Abatement Application granted:
Map 118, Parcel 34, 789 Wachusett St., revised assessment $1,520,100
3. Personal Property Abatement Applications granted:
Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., of Worcester, Inc., revised assessment $476,300
Visions Hair Salon, revised assessment $4,000
Safety Matters, revised assessment $0. (Business in Rutland, MA)
4. Real Estate Exemption Application denied:
CIL Realty of Massachusetts Inc., 109 Nelson Street, owned, but not occupied by a charitable organization. Occupied by government entity.
5. Bob Mansfield, 67 Winter Hill Rd.
Mr. Mansfield of 67 Winter Hill Road was in to see the assessors. He was not satisfied with the abatement that had been given on his property and wanted the assessment lowered. The assessors’ explained the assessment process. No further abatement will be granted for Fiscal Year 2012.
The next meeting of the Board of Assessors will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. The Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for that evening.
Meeting was adjourned at 4:35 P.M.
