MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS

1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion was made by Beverly Potvin Kenniston and seconded by James Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of April 26, 2010 meeting.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Personal Property assessments are being updated. Forms of List that have been returned by business owners are being reviewed in anticipation of preparing the FY2011 Preliminary Tax Bills. Building Permits are being inspected so that values on new construction may be included on these tax bills. Land splits are almost complete and are being reviewed by the Principal Assessor.
The position of Senior Clerk will be filled as of June 14th. Sandra Nason of Hubbardston will be hired for the vacant position.
Beverly Kenniston and Rose Scully attended the Munis Tax Users Group Meeting on May 10, 2010.in Marlboro. Changes in the Preliminary Tax process were discussed. The assessors will begin the process of preparing for the FY2011 Preliminary Tax Bills.
The assessors discussed town meeting warrant articles. This board meeting will adjourn to attend the Adjourned Annual Town Meeting at WRHS Auditorium.
The next meeting of the Board of Assessors will be held on Monday, June 28, 2010 at 4:30 P.M.
