1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion made by Beverly Potvin Kenniston, seconded by James Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of the May 19, 2008 meeting.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Discussion Items
The Assessors’ discussed Chapter 60, Sec. 79, Land of Low Value. State Tax Form 452A was signed by the Board of Assessors relative to foreclosure of tax title land of low value assessed to the Estate of Sarah J. Sweeney and Unknown Owner.
FY2009 Preliminary Tax Bills are being mailed today, June 30, 2008. First quarter tax bills will be due on August 1, 2008.
Rosemary Johnson, Asst. Assessor/Data Collector and Beverly Kenniston, Principal Assessor will attend the Massachusetts Assessors’ School at the University of Massachusetts in August.
The Principal Assessor will prepare the second and final Supplemental Tax Bills on New Construction for FY2008. Bills will include occupancy permits issued from January 1, 2008 to June 30, 2008.
5. Our next meeting will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 4:30 P.M.
