1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion by B. Potvin Kenniston, seconded by J. Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of December 3, 2007.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Discussion
Prior to the start of the meeting Erik Scheinfeldt of 69 Sherwood Hill Drive met with the Board. Mr. Scheinfeldt expressed interest in serving on the Board of Assessors.
Abatement Applications were reviewed. There was one (1) real estate abatements granted, one (1) personal property abatement granted and one (1) personal property abatement denied. February 1 is the last day for filing abatement applications. We have received very few applications to date. The Board will plan to review applications at their February meeting.
The Supplemental Tax on New Construction (Hopkinton Bill) was discussed. We have received a list of occupancy permits from the Building Department and will issue bills on newly constructed improvements in February.
Beverly will attend the Vision Appraisal Technology User Group on May 28 and 29, 2008. Revaluations will be discussed and new requirements by the Department of Revenue on land curves.
Next meeting will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 4:30 p.m.
