1.  Proclamation- SJRMD Water Conservation Month
Mayor Surrency read the proclamation.

E. ~CITIZEN COMMENTS
Mr. Gilbert Randall- HYS- Thanks to the City of Hawthorne for help running the program.  Asking for $1200 from the City for supplies.
Moved to give authority to the City Manager to give up to $1200 to HYS for equipment.

4.  Hawthorne Athletic Park Grand Opening
City Commission agreed on March 30, 2019 @ 11AM for the Hawthorne Athletic Park Grand Opening.

5.  Lindsey Phillips Park Grand Opening
City Commission agreed on Sunday April 21, 2019 @ 7AM for the Lindsey Phillips Park Grand Opening.

6.  Park & Recreation Advisory Board
Vice Mayor Howard recommended Latonya Howard to serve on the Park & Recreation Advisory Board.  The City Commission agreed unanimously on the recommendation.

7.  CRA Meeting Date
The City Commission agreed on April 2, 2019 @ 5:30PM for the CRA Meeting.

8.  Car Show Judges
Judging will start around noon.  Commissioners Roberts-Cheatham, Floyd and Howard volunteered to serve.

9.  1st Amendment to Easement previously granted to SJRWMD
No action taken.  The City Commission asked the City Attorney to reach out to SJRWMD for photos to see what they are proposing.

G.  PUBLIC HEARING
FIRST READING- None

H.  DISCUSSION ITEMS- None

I.  CITIZEN COMMENTS
Ms. Marian Rucker- pot holes on both corners of SE 214th Street.

Mr. Larry Tilbury- a gate is blocking SE 57th avenue.  City Manager stated that is not a city street it is a powerline easement that goes across private property. ~

J. ~REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/INFORMATION
1. City Manager Vause gave her City Manager’s report.
2. City Attorney Hoehn- Ballots for the advolorem going out next week.
3. City Clerk McGruder- Switch roles and gave an update on code enforcement.
4. City Commission
Commissioner Floyd- Submitted list of areas that need street lights in the city.
Commissioner Roberts-Cheatham- No report. Thank you to the Mayor for attending the Super Senior Meeting.
Commissioner Bouie- No report
Vice Mayor Howard- Received complaints about speeding on SE 111th street.

5. Mayor Surrency- Received questions about pigs and chicken allowed in the City of Hawthorne. Lt. Simmons said if anyone knows of any drug areas turn in address to the clerk or city manager.  He also gave an update on help from the Senator and baseball from the Recreation Park.
