The City Commission announced the passing of former City Commissioner Reverend Carnell C. Henderson Sr. and read a proclamation and asked City Clerk McGruder to deliver a copy of the Proclamation to the funeral home.

4.  Resolution: To amend the City’s Personnel Policy to include a Social Media Policy

5.  SE 225th Way
Commissioner Floyd- Asking the City Commission to take into consideration and asking the City of Hawthorne to fix the road on SE 225th Way one last time for the residents that live in that area.
City Manager Vause- She understand the concern but she can’t spend public money on private property and these streets goes through private property.  City Manager’s in the past has allowed staff to grade these roads and she is looking for direction from the City Commission.
Mayor Surrency- Asked Commissioner Floyd to contact the property owners to see if they will give the City of Hawthorne a utility easement for our utility lines that run there and this should also give us access to fix the roads.
The City Commission recommended staff do research to locate city lines and gather the information and come back before the City Commission.

I. ~REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/INFORMATION
1. City Manager Vause gave her week in review update and announced she is on vacation October 5-9 and will not be present at the October 6 Commission Meeting.
The City Commission discussed the upcoming October Commission Meeting.

2. City Attorney Hoehn- Altitude Cable is in bankruptcy.  Spoke with their attorney to ask if they wanted to remove the cable dish off city property and have not received a response.

3. City Commission
A.  Commissioner Roberts- Will be able to attend the funeral Saturday with Vice Mayor Howard if he is able to change his plans.  Presenting information to the City Commission where the City Commission voted back in 2012 to do one meeting per month and after things settle would like to discuss this further.  Thank you to the City Manager for the budget.
B. Commissioner Floyd- Thank you to the City Commission for taking his suggestion into consideration about SE 225th Way.
C. Commissioner Bouie- Kudos to the City Manager and City Attorney for how they handle the situation at the P&Z Meeting.
D. Vice Mayor Howard- None

4. Mayor Surrency- The P&Z Meeting is on youtube.com.  HHS Homecoming on October 2 and HYS Football play on October 3, 2015.
