1. Presentation- Sexton & Schnoll FY 2013-2014 Audit
Mr. Mark Schnoll and Ms. Pormina Srinivasan of Sexton & Schnoll presented the City of Hawthorne audit for FY 2013-2014 and gave an overview summary of the City’s financial status and audit findings.
The City Commission thanked the auditors for doing a good job on the audit and complimented City Manager Vause and her staff for making improvements within the city over the past years.

2. Swearing in Ceremony of City Commissioners- City Attorney Hoehn
City Attorney Hoehn swore in the newly elected Commissioner Mr. Jimmy Floyd Sr and unopposed Commissioners Howard and Surrency.
3. Nomination of Mayor
City Attorney Hoehn opened the floor for nominations of Mayor.
Commissioner Bouie nominated Mayor Surrency for Mayor. Mayor Surrency accepted the nomination.

6. ACBOCC Proposed Alachua County Irrigation Efficiency Code
The City Commission suggested doing a code for the City of Hawthorne instead of adopting into Alachua County irrigation efficiency code.
City Attorney Hoehn stated she will contact the County and ask them to come and give a presentation at one of the upcoming meetings and look into Hawthorne adopting its own irrigation code.
7. Agreement to build/store outdoor oven
Mr. Willy Theolossen described how the outside oven was built.
The City Commission asked a few questions about the safety of the oven.
Moved to authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement.

The City Commission decided to hold a Special Meeting on June 30, 2015 at 6:30PM on the Ordinance to establish a temporary zoning moratorium on marijuana dispensaries, processing and growing centers.

Ms. Janice Brown- Glad Lil Gabe Surrency, the son of Mayor Matt Surrency is back home from the hospital.~
J. ~REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/INFORMATION
1. City Manager Vause- Did not prepare a written report but she gave an update on FRDAP, CRA Meeting on July 7 @ 5:30PM, Budget Review on July 21 @ 5:30PM, and the Active Street Event.

Commissioner Floyd- Thank you to everyone that voted for him and he’s looking forward to working with everyone and helping out.
Commissioner Bouie- Thank you to the City of Hawthorne and Staff for prayers during the passing of her husband.
Vice Mayor Howard- Had about 60 people in the Lindsey Phillips Park about 2 weeks ago. No event going on just people using the park and it was a wonderful gathering.
4. Mayor Surrency- Thank you for the prayers for his son Gabe. Thanks to the City Commission for trusting him to lead the City Commission and be Mayor another year.
Ms. Mary Ann Rucker- asked if city workers could check the drains on SE 215th street because when it rains the water is running back onto SE 214th street.
