AGENDA ITEMS:
1.  RESCUE SERVICE
Mayor Surrency- Thanks to Alachua County for partnering with the City of Hawthorne and bringing the fire station back to Hawthorne.  There is a concern with some residents that the ambulance is being used to transport.
Commissioner Hutchinson- All rural communities have the same issue and we are working on getting floating ambulance for that purpose.
Chief Bill Northcut- Rest assured that when the ambulance is out of the station on a transport there is still ALS in the community.

2.  ROAD IMPROVEMENT
Mayor Surrency- The City of Hawthorne is partnering with the County and support the county efforts with improving the roads.
Mr. Lee Niblock, County Manager- Alachua County has a better plan coming to help fix the road the problem.  It will not happen overnight and there is a long process but we are working on it.
Commissioner Pinkoson- Believe he can speak for the County Commission when he says they will not seek any additional sales tax for road improvement in 2016.

3.  SENIOR ISSUES
Commissioner Roberts read a letter which stated the purpose of the letter and passed out a print out of an article on the old health building and read it aloud.
City Manager Vause questioned the possibility of relocating the old mobile home fire station from Grove Park to be used as the Senior Center in Hawthorne.
Commissioner Hutchinson- The senior program may qualify for the CAPP funding to help with Senior Services in the City of Hawthorne and the Hawthorne area.  There is a meeting on May 29 at the Health Department at 11AM.
Ms. Mildred Upshaw- The seniors need a community center in Hawthorne.  There is a great need.
