Ms. Regina Potter, M&S Bank Manager- M&S Bank was purchased by Ameris Bank from Georgia.  She also announced her along with all her staff with maintain their jobs.

D. ~COMMITTEE REPORTS/PRESENTATIONS/PROCLAMATIONS
1.  Citizens of the Month- Mr. Richard Moore & Ms. Bonita Dewiliby-Moore
The City Commission recognized Mr. & Mrs. Moore for the outstanding work they have done inside the City of Hawthorne and with the Hawthorne Apartments.
2.  NOMADS
Mr. Gosnell gave a brief background and update on the NOMADS and introduced the families and what State they were from.

E. ~CITIZEN COMMENTS
1.  Mr. Larry Tilbury asked about a city noise ordinance.  City Manager Vause stated the ordinance states the noise cannot leave your property line after 8PM.
2.  Ms. Janice Brown- Earth Skills at LOCNP.
3.  Sergeant Mike Powers- Finishing 2014 year-end report.  City Commission can reach him through the City Manager if there are issues they would like to include in the report.

4.  Dock Lighting
The City Commission suggested the City Manager go back to the Park and Recreation Board about changing the Park Hours so fishermen can fish off the dock with lanterns.

5.  Social Media Policy
Mayors Surrency suggested having a workshop on this issue.  The City Commission agreed on March 3, 2015 @ 5:30PM.

6.  Resolution- Community Redevelopment Agency Updated Redevelopment Plan
Moved to adopt the Resolution amending the CRA Redevelopment Plan as amended by the CRA Board and found to be consistent with the City’s Comprehensive Plan by the P&Z Board.

Vice Mayor Howard- Attended the Boundary Adjustment Act and it was very interesting
4. Mayor Surrency- Kudos to the volunteers that cleaned the museum park.  Kudos to Mr. Winford Jenkins and the article was done on him.  It gave a positive look at Hawthorne.  Legislative Action Days March 17-18, 2015.  Hawthorne Learning Academy is now hiring.  Chicken dinners this Saturday for $7 at HHS and an Alumni Baseball Game.
