1. Manhole Repair Change Order
City Manager Vause- The manhole repair on SE 216th needs an additional $32,485.00 that was not funded by the DEP Grant making the total repair $101,426.64. We will use the pump loan money from M&S Bank to cover the balance not funded. It is the engineer’s recommendation that the change order is needed to solve the problem. If approved the contractor will start next week.
Brief discussion by City Commission and Staff.
Mr. Russell Hay- He has been very patient with the City of Hawthorne and these needs to be fixed right this time.
Moved to approve the additional funds to cover the change order of $32,485.00

City Manager Vause- None
City Attorney Harris- Got married over the holiday.
Commissioner Roberts- Super Seniors had a great year in 2012 and hope to have another great year in 2013. Valentine Day Social February 14, 2013 5:30-9:00 at American Legion Hall.
Commissioner Carlton- None
Commissioner Randall- Congrats to City Attorney on her marriage and Vice Mayor Howard will be ordained as a Deacon next month.
Vice Mayor Howard- Yes, he will be ordained in Melrose as a Deacon in February.
Mayor Surrency- Music in the park this Friday at 6PM. February 13 @ 1PM there is a workshop for Elected Officials at the City of Alachua. The workshop is free.
