1.  Presentation- Code Enforcement Update- Mr. Al Davis, CEO
Mr. Davis presented the City Commission with a list of property violations for the months of July through September 2012.

2.  Presentation- Code Enforcement Foreclosure Process
City Manager Vause presented a power point of process staff has to go through to foreclose of property.
3.  Presentation- FLC Service Recognition for Commissioner William Carlton
This item was tabled because Commissioner Carlton is in the hospital.

2.  Adoption of pay grades
City Manager Vause- To meet the requirements of the City of Hawthorne Personnel Policy Staff is requesting the City Commission to adopt the following pay grade table.
Moved to approve the pay grade table and instruct staff to incorporate the table into section V, 5.01 of the City’s Personnel Policy.

3.  FLC’s Program for Collection of Past Due Business Taxes
City Attorney Harris- Mayor Surrency mentioned this program by the FLC that helps cities collect missed revenue from insurance companies doing business within the cities without paying the necessary business taxes.  Annually the City will receive 50% of the delinquent taxes collected.

I.  CITIZEN COMMENTS
Mr. Larry Tilbury- Littering in his neighborhood is very bad and would appreciate it if city staff can help pick up the trash.  City Manager Vause- If its excessive trash then staff will help, but she will look into it.

J.  REPORTS/ANNOUNCEMENTS/INFORMATION
1.  City Manager Vause gave an update on the Elections, Alachua County Public Works, CRA Meeting, Audit and pump replacements.

2.  City Attorney Harris- None

Commissioner Roberts- None

Commissioner Randall- Happy Veterans Day and Happy Holidays.

Vice Mayor Howard- None

4.  Mayor
Mayor Surrency- Shell Elementary Students visited City Hall.  Fix our roads did not pass but it may be on the ballot for the upcoming election.  Music in the park this Friday 6:00-9:00PM

Because of the holidays would like to reschedule the December 4, 2012 City Commission Meeting.
Moved to schedule the Regular Commission Meeting from December 4, 2012 to December 11, 2012.
