PUBLIC HEARING NO. 1

        I.              Call to Order

                        1.  Proof of Publication:        The Rivertowns Enterprise – January 17, 2014

2.  To consider the advisability of adopting Proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2014 amending the Code of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York, Chapter 282, Vehicles and Traffic:

Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson to amend the Vehicles and Traffic Chapter of the Hastings-on-Hudson Code as follows:

        Section 1:              Subsection B of ' 282-21 (Loading zones) is hereby amended by deleting paragraph (5) [providing for a loading space at the corner of Spring Street].

        Section 2:              Paragraphs (6) through (9) of ' 282-21, subsection B should be renumbered (5) through (8) respectively.  

        Section 3:              Section 282-21 is hereby amended by adding the following new paragraph to subsection B (designating location of loading zones):

                                (9)     On the east side of Southside Avenue starting at a point 55 feet south of Spring Street and extending for 40 feet south of that point.

        Section 4:              Section 282-35 (Parking meter zones) is hereby amended by adding a new subsection, to read as follows:

                                R.      West side of the northbound portion of Southside Avenue starting at a point 10 feet north of the southernmost point of the traffic island and extending north for 110 feet. [This will permit five metered spaces.]

        Section 5:              All ordinances, local laws, and parts thereof inconsistent with this local law are hereby repealed.

        Section 6:              This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the office of the New York Secretary of State.

                        2.  To consider the advisability of adopting Proposed Local Law No. 2 of 2014 amending the Code of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York, Chapter 282, Vehicles and Traffic:

Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson as follows:

        Section 1:              Section 282-16.A (Through highways) of the Code of the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson is hereby amended by adding the following new paragraph:

                                (60)    The intersection of South Drive and Terrace Drive is hereby designated a stop intersection, and a stop sign shall be erected on South Drive at its intersection with Terrace Drive.

        Section 2:              All ordinances, local laws, and parts thereof inconsistent with this local law are hereby repealed.

        Section 3:              This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the office of the New York Secretary of State.
