TOWN CENTER SEWER ACTION COMMITTEE
A Sub-Committee of The Harvard Board of Selectmen
Meeting Minutes Friday July 11, 2008
Meeting called to order @ 8:30AM at Hapgood meeting room
Attendees: Chris Ashley, Wade Holtzman, Joe Sudol, Carrie Fraser, Pat Jennings, Tim Clark
Meeting Summary
Discussion of current status
Joe has begun to overlay on the map properties as private or municipal, together with their water district status, and plans to document their septic status with Ira Grossman’s help. This can be used to assess the needs of the constituents of the area.
Dependency of the municipal affordable housing plans on TCSAC recommendations and resulting plan
Wade is a member of the municipal affordable housing trust who is looking at the Hildreth property for a 40 unit 55+ senior housing facility together with the Hildreth House. There is interest in that committee in understanding the potential for the TCSAC plan providing a possible solution for a septic solution for any proposed development. They are interested in knowing a timeline for recommendation and implementation of any plan.
Communication and Stakeholder input
Pat and Carrie recommended that we take the following steps to begin communication, gather community inputs, and start understanding stakeholder needs both in town and town center.
- re-write existing summaries to produce a very succinct executive summary including situational statement, approach to the proposal, and the need for community input
- identify two or three neighborhood sponsors to host informal coffee sessions in August to have open discussion and input
- publish an article in the papers in early August communicating above and soliciting input directly from all readers
Actions:
Pat and Carrie to produce narrative executive summary and communication drafts by July 25
Pat and Carrie to identify town center neighborhood hosts for coffees in August
Joe to overlay current status of properties on the master map by July 25 meeting
Chris to document municipal building needs and estimate future needs by July 25
Chris to follow up on status of the Norfolk Ram project and report back on July 25
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 AM
