Discussions and Actions
l The minutes of the Fin Com meeting of June 4, 2008 were approved as amended . Moved by Marie Crowley Sobalvarro, seconded by Steve Colwell, passed (3-0-1 ).
l Loraine Leonard modified the Reserve Fund Transfer Request form for next year.
l Lorraine Leonard identified the FY08 Reserve Fund Actions

l Lorraine Leonard presented the draft of the FY
08 Harvard School Budget (Actuals). It shows actual encumbrances by line. She answered all of our questions. Lorraine Leonard clarified the uses of the two Shaw trust documents. 1st is defunct. 2nd document is used for school use, School Committee has encouraged use in technology, and long term expenses/not consumables.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
l Steve Colwell reported that the School Committee announced that Harvard was awarded the Devens contract to educate the Devens elementary students.
l Solar Design Assoc. Inc. is looking for the Schools to sign a 20-year contract. Solar Design Assoc. installs and maintains solar panels for the Bromfield School and the Solar Design Assoc. would buy back the surplus energy at a rate of 12 cents
l COA is proposing to develop a job description for a Program Coordinator-The Personnel Board will be meeting on this.
l BOS will be meeting at Mass Development Building at Devens, Tuesday, July 16 at 7:00 pm
l Town center Septic committee is working on their Town Center Septic plan to be presented at the next Annual Town Meeting.
l BOS at their April 15 meeting stated that during these economic times it is irresponsible not to bill the insurance company for ambulance runs. Tim Bragan and Peter Warren will be meeting with the Ambulance staff within the next few weeks.
l The town is looking at maintenance contracts for the library and other town buildings to be combined and consolidated.
l The town is looking at gas lines for the Old Library, Bromfield School, also looking at where the proposed trenches would be dug to coordinate with the Town water lines.
l Special election for Town is Sept. 16, 2008 Caucus is July 23, 2008
l Marie Crowley Sobalvarro moved to adjourned at 9:10 Terry Mead seconded . Passed (4-0-0)
