Discussions and Actions
l Committee reviewed the minutes of the FinCom meetings of Jan 3rd and Jan 5th . The minutes were accepted as amended.( 5-0-0)
l FinCom approved a Reserve Fund transfer requested by Lorraine Leonard for $500.00 to account # 01709-59130 to cover annual fees to update the Town's financials. (5-0-0).
l FinCom met with the Library directors to review their budget and clarify questions.
-PTO for the benefited employees and a substitute budget was discussed.
-We were given updated circulation numbers and staffing details.
l Marie Crowley-Sobalvarro and Lorraine Leonard provided drafts of a letter to all departments regarding the requests for Reserve Fund transfers. Suggestions were made and Marie will amend the letter for review at the Jan. 12th meeting.
l FinCom members reviewed the list of questions to be given to the School Committee and Dr. Jefferson regarding questions on their FY 09 submitted budget.
l Bob Thurston left meeting at 9:30 pm.
l The committee reviewed the cover letter to all departments thanking them for their work on the FY09 budgets and encouraging them to continue to scrutinize their budgets for additional savings.
l Meeting was adjourned at 9:45 pm. (5-0-0)
