Discussions and Actions
l Committee reviewed the minutes of the FinCom Dec 11, 2007 meeting. The minutes were accepted as amended( 6-0-0)
l Rich Nota, Director of DPW reviewed his budget items and clarified information from the FinCom. He gave us some updates on work in the town.
s working on reconfiguring the existing equipment and supplementing new equipment to fit the town's needs. He will give recommendations on which equipment will be used, traded and purchased.
l The current Reserve Fund balance is $195,362.
All departments will be advised that they must submit requests for Reserve Funds before the need or purchase. A letter will be sentby FinCom which will also cite the applicable Mass General Law.
l FinCom adjusted the Budget Schedule hearing and set Saturday, Jan.5 meeting as a work session to review the Library and Schools budget and formulate question lists.
l Ms. Ricci reported that she had a follow-up conversation with the Town Moderator, Doc Westerling regarding the FinCom vacancy.
l Meeting adjourned at 9:50 pm. (6-0-0)
