Discussions and Actions
l A new meeting calendar for January was presented by Tim Bragan-alternating Tuesday and Wednesday
evenings and Saturday morning meetings. Some meeting dates were changed.
l Tim Bragan reviewed the Budget Process Schedule.
l Budgets will be available-except Schools next week. Read and review the department budgets and formulate any questions. These questions will then be returned to departments before meeting with Fincom to discuss budgets.
l There is a possible change in meeting place from the Old Library to the Bromfield School library.
l The School Department budget should be received by BOS and FinCom by the first week of January-if not sooner.
l Minutes of the FinCom meeting of Oct. 3, 2007 were accepted as amended. (4-0-0)
l Lorraine Leonard presented Reserve Fund Actions and Reserve Fund transfer requests from the School Department.
l Marie Crowley Sobalvarro moved to transfer $153,268.00 from the Reserve Fund to Acct.# 03005-54810 for Special Education placements. B. Thurston seconded the motion. Motion passed (4-0-0). On this request, a questions of transportation costs were included in this request or not. L. Leonard will check and report back to FinCom.
l Marie Crowley Sobalvarro moved to transfer $23,688.00 from the Reserve Fund to Acct.# 03002-52000 for DEP compliance. B. Thurston seconded the motion. Motion passed (4-0-0).
l Debbie Ricci reviewed correspondence sent to the FinCom .
l A Tri-board meeting to discuss working relationships, conflict resolution techniques and trust issues was proposed for Nov. 14 or Nov. 17, 2007.
l There will be a public hearing held by the FinCom Selection Process Committee in the near future.
l The FinCom meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm (4-0-0)
