Finance Committee Minutes – 27 February 2007, Town Hall
Meeting called to order at 6:35 p.m.
Members present: Colwell, McKenna, Mead, Ricci, Russo, Sobalvarro
Administrators Present: Leonard
Agenda:
- Pump house picture for handbook cover
- Library: Open question regarding state aid and whether the library will continue to receive the Cherry Receipts for library services, post-opening.
- Additional Article changes and modifications were addressed, and the sections of the handbook in their present state were distributed.
- The CPC presented its requests, and a discussion ensued regarding which articles FinComm was comfortable supporting.
- Warrant changes and review:
Article 6: Police Personnel: unanimous FC support
Article 7: Bare Hill Pond: unanimous FC support
Article 8: Reserve Fund: Steve has written up (obtain copy from Tim)
Article 10: DPW
“We recommend delaying this purchase. We believe these trucks are too old to be on the road, and support exploring other alternatives of service delivery (for instance contracting for services which would decrease our need for vehicles).” Not voted on at this time.
Article for Special education audit: To be performed by the Special Education Task Force (2 FC members, 1 School Committee, 1 BoS member, 1 member appointed by BoS, 1 member appointed by SC.)
