BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS MEETING MARCH 24, 2010
Members Present: Mrs. Phyllis Bickford; Mrs. Mary Lou Sutter; Mr. Bruce Young; Mr. Joseph Duffy; Mr. Douglas Ficks.
Also Present: Mr. Neal Merritt; Water Supt. and Mr. Rene’ Read Town Adm. and Ms. Meg LaMay; Town Accountant.
SUBJECT: Water Supt. Report-Neal gave a report on the status of Well#1. Well went down approximately three weeks ago. Three remaining wells are running about 18 hours per day.
11 Lakeside Terrace- well pump motor went down just before Thanksgiving. Water department hooked them up to town water; sent them the hook-up charge.
Discussed the budget process and various budget items for FY 2011. Got the Town Administrator’s philosophy. We also reviewed the proposed Town meeting articles.
Motion by Mike Duffy to enter into Executive Session at 6:10 P.M; seconded by Mr. Bruce Young; under #3 to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the government’s bargaining or litigating position. Roll call vote: Mrs. Bickford, aye; Mrs. Mary Lou Sutter, aye; Mr. Bruce Young, aye; Mr. Douglas Ficks,aye; Mr. Mike Duffy, aye.
Back in regular session at 6:56 P.M. No motions were made and no votes were taken in executive session.
Next meeting set for March 31, 2010; April 14th and April 28th.
Reviewed minutes of March 10, 2010. Motion by Douglas Ficks to approve minutes of March 10, 2010 as typed. Seconded by Mike Duffy. All in favor.
Motion by Mr. Mike Duffy to adjourn at 7:20 P.M. Seconded by Douglas Ficks. Voted 5-0 in favor.
