BOARD OF WATER COMMISSIONERS FEBRUARY 11, 2010
Members Present: Mrs. Phyllis Bickford, Mr. Bruce Young, Mr. Douglas Ficks, Mr. Joseph Duffy. Mrs. Mary Lou Sutter absent with notice.
Also Present: Mr. Neal Merritt, Water Supt.
Meeting Opened at 5:05 P.M.
SUBJECT: Superintendent Report-Reviewed Crystal Spring Wellfield Chemical Feed Upgrade status. Pre-construction meeting held on February 10th. Construction to begin week of February 14th.
Discussed problems with main breaks on E. Washington Street. This is a recurring problem that needs to be addressed. Analysis of pipe has been sent out for review. This is an 8” main. Analysis will be done free of charge by U.S. Pipe in Alabama.
Reviewed FY10 expenses, payroll, revenue and water surplus. Also reviewed balances of on-going Water Department articles.
Reviewed potential articles for May Town Meeting.
Capital Improvement forms will be finalized by Neal for submission.
Discussed Mass. Warn Agreement and the possibilities of getting involved in it. (Mutual Aid set up.)
Next meeting date is February 24, 2010.
Motion by Mr. Bruce Young to adjourn at 6:35 P.M. Seconded by Mr. Mike Duffy. Voted 4-0 in favor.
