Selectmen’s Meeting ~
December 29, 2009
Present: ~Donald Howard, Stephen Amico, James Egan and Christopher Colclough. James Armstrong, Absent. Also present Town Administrator Rene’ Read and Executive Assistant Meredith Marini. ~~
7:30p.m.~~~~~~~Chairman Egan called the meeting to order, lead the Pledge Allegiance and read the announcements and upcoming meeting schedule.
Item I Snow Emergency - Highway Surveyor, Richard Harris has requested the Board declare a snow emergency in accordance with MGL Ch. 44, Section 31D as the snow removal budget has been expended.
MOTION by Colclough, second by Amico to declare a snow emergency in accordance with MGL Ch. 44, Section 31D. Voted 4 – 0.
Item II Holiday Schedule – Mr. Egan indicated that as a result of misunderstandings and confusion regarding the half day closing on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, the Board should reconsider its vote.
MOTION by Amico, second by Colclough to reconsider the prior vote to close Town Hall, the Library/Senior Center and/or any Town Department at noon on New Year’s Eve. Voted 4 – 0.
MOTION by Amico, second by Howard to rescind prior vote to close Town Hall, the Library/Senior Center and/or any Town Department at noon on New Year’s Eve.
Voted 4 – 0.
MOTION by Colclough, second by Amico to adjourn. Voted 4 – 0.
