II NEW BUSINESS
Requests:
Vote to approve line transfers in accordance with Ch. 44, Sec. 33B. Mrs. Marini explained this is an annual vote which grants departments the ability to transfer funds between budget lines with the approval of the Board of Selectmen and the Finance Committee. The Board grants the Town Administrator the authority to sign off on behalf of the Board of Selectmen.
MOTION by Amico, second by Howard to allow the Town Administrator to approve the Line Item Transfers in accordance with Mass. General Laws Chapter 44, Sec. 33B. Voted 5 – 0
Hanson Food Pantry Plant Sale – The Hanson Food Pantry requested permission to conduct a Plant Sale on Town Hall Green on Saturday, May 10th.
MOTION by Amico, second by Soper to grant the Hanson Food Pantry permission to conduct a Plant Sale at Town Hall Green on Saturday, May 10th. Voted 5 – 0
New Firefighters – Mr. San Angelo informed the Board that two of the applicants for the open fire fighters positions are fully trained and currently working in other communities. In light of the fact that the Town will not have send them to the academy, if hired, the Fire Chief will indicated that he would start them at a pay rate above the minimum step.
