Announcements

Memorial Day Parade will be Monday May 26th.~ The Veterans Agent Bob Arsenault is looking for volunteers to work with him to organize and supervise the parade. The work involved includes organizing marching groups who will march in the parade and other services related to the parade. Please contact Bob at (781) 293-2772.

Nomination papers for the May 17th town election are available at the Town Clerk's office and must be returned by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31st.  Elected positions include

Moderator  - 1 year term;  2 Selectmen -  3 year terms;  Assessor  - 3 year term;  Board of Health -  3 year term;  Cemetery Commissioner  - 3 year term;  Planning Board -  5 year term;  Hanson Housing Authority -  5 year term;  2 Trustees of Memorial Field -  3 year terms;  2 Trustees of Public Library - 3 year terms
Whitman-Hanson Regional School District Committee PreK-12  -  3 year term
Water Commissioners -  3 year term.

The Panther Education Trust will be holding its second annual Epic Youth Battle of the Bands in the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School's Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 21st from 7 PM – 11 PM.  The event will be emceed by WATD, 95.9 FM. A limited number of bands will be accepted, and there are only a few slots left. Learn more about attending or participating in this exciting event by visiting our website at www.whedfoundation.org.

Clean Up Green Up day will be held on Saturday, April 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Volunteers are asked to assemble at Town Hall parking lot to get your assignments.
