For the purpose of discussing strategy with respect to collective bargaining since an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating and bargaining position of the Town and to discuss strategy with respect to contract negotiations with non-union personnel.

Deliciously Green and Clean" The Hanson Public Library Foundation is pleased to sponsor a ‘hands on’ night of education and fun in a workshop entitled: Deliciously Green and Clean on Thursday, April 25th at 6:30 p.m. at the library . This event is free but requires registration Friday, April 19th. Please call 781-293-2151 or email info@hansonlibrary.org to register.
Friday, April 26, 2013 is the last day to register to vote in the May 6th Town Meeting.
The Registrars will be available for voter registration from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Residents can also register to with the Town Clerk during regular office hours.
Rockland Hanson Rotary Club is presenting a “Night of Laughs” at the Venus III Restaurant on Friday, April 26th from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. $20.00 per person includes entertainment and pizza.
The Drug Enforcement Administration is hosting an Unused Medication Drop Off Day
on Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Area locations include Hanover Senior Center, East Bridgewater Town Hall, Whitman Police Dept. Rockland Town Hall. For an expanded list go to the Hanson website at www.hanson-ma.gov.
Green Hanson and the Hanson Children’s Museum will be sponsoring the 6th Annual Earth Day at the Town Hall Green on Saturday, April 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Absentee ballots are now available in the Town Clerk’s office for the Special State Election which will be held on Tuesday, April 30th. Applications for Absentee ballots will be accepted at the Town Clerk’s Office until Noon on Monday, April 29th. For more information please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 781-293-2772.
Board of Health is hosting a Tick & Mosquito Prevention Forum on Wednesday, May 1st at 7:00 p.m. at the Hanson Middle School.
Hanson Historical Society will be hosting its Annual Turkey Dinner on Thursday,
May 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Camp Kiwanee. Speaker Dr. William Hanna will be presenting “Life of Lincoln through photographs” Tickets are $12.50 and can be obtained by calling Patty Norton at 781-294-8645
