Announcements
There will be a special voter registration session held on Friday, September 21st from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Town Hall.~ This will be the last day to register to vote for the October 1st Special Town Meeting.~ Any citizen may register to vote at the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours; Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 8 am to 5 pm and Tuesday 8 am to 8 pm, or by mail-in registration.~ Any resident citizen who will be 18 years of age by October 1st is eligible to register to vote by September 21st.
Sixth Annual Kids Fitness Festival Sat., Sept. 22, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Whitman Hanson Regional High School. For more information go to www.whedfoundation.org
The Board is also accepting applications for the newly created Agricultural Commission application deadline is September 28th. There are several other committees which need members. For a complete list see the website.
The October Special Town Meeting is Monday, October 1, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hanson Middle School. A quorum of one hundred registered voters is required to start town meeting.
On October 6th at 7 pm, Mass Hysteria: The Musical will be appearing at the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School. Proceeds from this event will be used to help finance the first Whitman Hanson Regional High School students' trip to China. Tickets are $15.00 and includes entry into a drawing for a Kindle Fire.
