Board of Health Meeting
Tuesday, July 7, 2015

Meeting Start Time: 6:30 pm
Place:  Selectmen’s Hearing room
        Hanson Town Hall, 542 Liberty Street, Hanson, MA 02341

Having a quorum, Mr. Amado called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Chairman Amado, Mr. McSweeney, Ms. Dias & Ms. Cocio

REVIEW OF AGENDA
Read and sign all mail, permits, warrants and expense vouchers.

NEW BUSINESS

  • New Business:
  • The Board’s next meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.
  • Hire Full Time TS Attendant – Mr. McSweeney made a motion to hire Keith Fontaine as the new full time TS attendant, seconded by Ms. Dias. 3-0 unanimous.
  • 6 Upton Street – The Conservation Agent wanted to advise the Board that ConCom had approved the plans for 6 Upton Street.
  • The Board would like the Health Agent to check on Arbovirus information.
  • Mr. Amado would like to have the signs at the transfer station moved higher.
  • Mr. Amado would like the Health Agent to obtain information regarding the damaged well located at the transfer station
  • Mr. Amado wanted a status update on the capping of the transfer station.  Mr. San Angelo has been in contact with DEP.  DEP is reviewing the recommendations of Town Engineer, Al Hanscombe.  DEP will advise the Town if the recommendation of Mr. Hanscombe is approved.  Mr. Amado would also like the Health Agent to contact DEP on this issue.
  • Septic Plans before the Board for review
  • 767 Pleasant Street – Deed Restriction – 2 bedroom - Variance that would allow a vertical separation reduction from the required 5’ to 4’. Mr. McSweeney made a motion to approve the submitted plans pending Concom approval, Concom has no issue as the system was designed outside the 50’ buffer zone, 2nd by Ms. Dias.  Approved 3-0
