Board of Health Meeting
Tuesday, March 24, 2015


Meeting Start Time: 6:30 pm
Place:  2nd floor Hearing room
        Hanson Town Hall, 542 Liberty Street, Hanson, MA 02341

Having a quorum, Mr. Amado called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Chairman Amado, Mr. McSweeney, Mr. Edgehille & Ms. Cocio

REVIEW OF AGENDA
Read and sign all mail, permits, warrants and expense vouchers.

NEW BUSINESS

  • New Business:
  • The next Board of Health meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 6:30pm.
  • Nomination of Animal Inspector – Mr. Edgehille made a motion to appoint Shirley Savage-Cavicchi as Animal Inspector for the upcoming term running May 1, 2015 through April 30, 2016, second by Mr. McSweeney. 3-0
Lots 1249 – 1259 Monponsett/Snow Street – Atty.  Brian Cook came before the Board to discuss his clients submitted septic system plans.  Updated plans were submitted, the plan and the application are now consistent.  Plan will be sent out for review.
Mr. McSweeney made a motion to approve the language only for Article 12- May, 2015 Town Meeting – To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sums of money to operate the Transfer Station during the FY 2015 under provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 44, Section 53F½. Second by Mr. Edgehille.  3-0 Mr. McSweeney would like to see the final language and numbers in the Article, prior to voting to approve in its entirety.
  • 27 Adams Circle – Mr. Edgehille made a motion to extend the approval of the septic plans dated 1/6/2012 and approved on 1/19/2012, for an additional year.  The plan approval is extended until 1/19/2016, second by Mr. Edgehille. 3-0
The Board approved the addition of toilets to the list of trip ticket items.  The cost is $10.00 per item.
The Board discussed the Evaluation Tool for Department Heads from the Board of Selectmen.  Mr. McSweeney made a motion to select Chairman Amado to be the BOH representative for the process, second by Mr. Edgehille. 3-0
The Board discussed sign off on Health Agent payroll.  It will be added to the next agenda.
  • Animal Regulations were never enacted by the Board of Health.

Motion to adjourn meeting made by Mr. McSweeney, second by Mr. Edgehille.  Unanimous 3-0.
