Organizational Meeting
January 3, 2008
The Organizational Meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Guilderland was held at the Town Hall, Route 20 McCormick’s Corners, Guilderland, N.Y. on the 3d day of January 2008 at 7:30 PM. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Roll call by Rosemary Centi. Town Clerk, showed the following to be present:

ALSO PRESENT: Richard Sherwood, Town Attorney
******************************************************************************Supervisor Runion welcomed everyone to the evening’s meeting and stated that it was the first meeting of the year. He also welcomed the new Board members, Warren Redlich and Mark Grimm.
He further stated that the Organizational Meeting was held in order to appoint officials for the 2008 town year as well as to set forth the general guidelines for business to be conducted during the year.

MOTION #1 Councilwoman Slavick moved to Re-Appoint Richard Sherwood as Town Attorney (Term Expires December 31, 2009). Councilman Pastore seconded the motion and it was carried by the following roll call vote:

MOTION #2 Councilman Pastore moved to Re-appoint Stephen Feeney as a member and Chairperson of the Planning Board for 2008. Councilwoman Slavick seconded the motion and it was carried by the following roll call vote:

Item # 4 on the agenda concerned the re-appointment of Michael Cleary to the Planning Board.
Board members held a discussion and the following vote was recorded:
MOTION #4 Councilman Pastore moved to Re-Appoint Michael Cleary as a member of the Planning Board. (Term expires December 31, 2014). Councilwoman Slavick seconded the motion and it was carried by the following roll call vote:

Councilman Grimm No – Councilman Grimm objected that none of the minority’s nominees were placed on the agenda or voted on.

Item # 5 on the agenda concerned the appointment of Thomas Remmert to the Zoning Board of Appeals. A discussion ensued among Board members and the following vote was cast:

MOTION #9 Councilman Pastore moved to Re-appoint Herb Hennings, Stuart Reese, and Thomas Kriger and appoint Stephen Albert and Gordon McClelland as members of the Environmental Conservation Advisory Council. MOTION#10 Councilwoman Slavick moved to Appoint William Young as Chairperson of the Guilderland Industrial Development Agency and re-appoint James Shahda and Michael Bopp, and appoint Christopher Bombardier and Anthony Carrow as members of said Industrial Development Agency and appoint the firm of Hodgson Russ, Joseph Scott of Counsel, as attorney to the IDA. Councilman Pastore seconded the motion and it was carried by the following roll call vote:
