A regular Meeting of the Town Board of Guilderland was held at the Town Hall, Route 20 McCormick's Corners, Guilderland, NY, on the above date at 7:30 pm. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Roll call by Rosemary Centi, Town Clerk, showed the following to be present:

Agenda item # 4 concerned entering into a lease agreement with Clearwater LLC for placement of wireless equipment on the Water District’s Westmere and Fort Hunter water towers.
Steven Elsbree, Project Manager for Pyramid Network Services, stated that he had been in communication with William West, Superintendent of Water And Wastewater Management who had no problem with the placement and that they had received final approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals for the placement of the equipment.
Councilman Pastore asked about accessing the equipment and Mr. Elsbree stated that access would be during regular hours of operation for routine maintenance.
Supervisor Runion explained that this was not equipment for cell phone service but for broadband service, wireless Internet service.
This would be a small dish type antenna, which is approximately 24” in diameter.
The Water Department was provided an insurance certificate in order to obtain access to the property.
Mr. Elsbree stated that emission testing and radio frequency testing had been done so that the Town would have them on file for future reference. Any concerns by residents had been addressed. All the site-specific conditions had been agreed to.
MOTION #241 Councilman Bosworth moved to AUTHORIZE THE SUPERVISOR TO SIGN A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH CLEARWATER LLC FOR THE PLACEMENT OF WIRELESS EQUIPMENT ON THE WATER DISTRICT’S WESTMERE AND FORT HUNTER WATER TOWERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH APPROVALS AS GRANTED BY THE TOWN’S ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS. Agenda item # 6 concerned adopting a resolution that the Town will assume responsibility for snow and ice removal for sidewalks installed by the County.
Supervisor Runion explained that the County sent a letter stating that they would be involved in a construction project on County Route 203 (Johnston Road) and as part of the scope of the project they would be looking to install sidewalks to the upper end of the corridor from Solarview Estates to Western Avenue.
They were looking to the Town to assume responsibility for the removal of snow and ice.
Supervisor Runion had spoken to the Parks Department and they did not have an issue taking care of the sidewalks in that area.
