A regular Meeting of the Town Board of Guilderland was held at the Town Hall, Route 20 McCormick's Corners, Guilderland, NY, on the above date at 7:30 pm. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Roll call by Anna Russo, Deputy Town Clerk, showed the following to be present:

Supervisor Runion welcomed everyone to the evening’s meeting and asked for a motion approving the minutes of the November 9, 2006 town board meeting.
MOTION #229 Councilman Bosworth moved to APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE NOVEMBER 9, 2006 TOWN BOARD MEETING. Councilwoman Slavick seconded the motion and it was carried by the following roll call vote:

Supervisor Runion explained that the Town Board had appointed two members to a committee to study the Route 20 corridor from the Duanesburg town line to Route 158. This would be the third appointment to the committee. This is a study committee that is being conducted by CDTC and is a joint committee between the Town of Princetown and the Town of Guilderland.

Tom Remmert, Commissioner of the Westmere Fire Department, stated that they had received a grant to improve radio communications for all of the fire districts in Town.
This will improve radio communications in a number of areas. In order to accomplish this, an antenna and a repeater system will need to be installed on the Westmere Water Tower.
The antenna will be aimed east from this location.
He thanked Bill West and Todd Gifford for their assistance in this matter.
The Town Board was also thanked.
Councilwoman Slavick asked about the equipment being turned over to the Town.
Mr. Remmert stated that it would at some point.
Supervisor Runion stated that this would improve communications between Town Hall and Crossgates.
Councilman Bosworth asked Mr. Remmert to explain the need for the repeater and antenna.
Mr. Remmert stated that this would improve life safety issues by improving communications between fire fighters and crews within the large buildings such as SUNY, Crossgates and Stuyvesant Plaza and those outside of the buildings.
There is a 5% match, which Westmere will provide.
MOTION #231 Councilman Bosworth moved to AUTHORIZE THE INSTALLATION OF A TWO - WAY RADIO REPEATER INCLUDING AN ANTENNAE AT THE WESTMERE WATER TOWER AND ANY ATTENDANT EQUIPMENT THAT IS NECESSARY WITH RESPECT TO THAT PROJECT. ALL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS WILL BE REVIEWED BY THE TOWN ATTORNEY WITH THE WESTMERE FIRE DISTRICT’S ATTORNEY, BILL YOUNG.
