A regular Meeting of the Town Board of Guilderland was held at the Town Hall, Route 20 McCormick's Corners, Guilderland, NY, on the above date at 7:30 pm. The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Roll call by Rosemary Centi, Town Clerk, showed the following to be present:

PRESENTATION:
Supervisor Runion welcomed the members of the Guilderland Dutchmen Pop Warner Midget Team, 2005 Capital District Super Bowl Champions
Head Coach Mike Cahill stated that the team went 9-1 this year winning the championship in Saratoga.

MOTION #44 Councilwoman Slavick moved to AUTHORIZE THE SETTLELMENT OF TAX ASSESSMENT CHALLENGE FOR PREMISES AT 175 Route 146 (39.00-3-32). Councilman Bosworth seconded the motion and it was carried by the following roll call vote:

Supervisor Runion explained the reclassification of a number of positions by Civil Service and the need for the exams to be taken. He clarified the law stating that after a State review it was determined that a number of positions were testable and no longer in the exempt class.
He further stated that between 6 and 12 positions in the Town had been affected.

Item #5 on the agenda concerned extending the McKownville lighting district on Providence Street.
Supervisor Runion stated that recent number of car break ins led the residents to sign a petition requesting the extension. It would amount to the addition of light on an already existing pole on the corner of Providence and Ann Streets. Tax increase would be minimal.

MOTION #48 Councilman Bosworth moved to APPROVE THE REQUEST OF AN EXTENSION OF MCKOWNVILLE LIGHTING DISTRICT FOR THE ADDITION OF A LIGHT ON AN ALREADY EXISTING POLE LOCATED ON THE CORNER OF PROVIDENCE STREET AND ANN STREET . Supervisor Runion stated that the second meeting in February is not scheduled due to the attendance of the Town Board at the Annual Meeting and Training session of the Association of Towns in NYC. He read the information letter and stated that there is an annual business session requiring a delegate and an alternate delegate.
MOTION #49 Councilwoman Slavick moved to APPROVE THE APPOINTMENT OF JEAN CATALDO AS DELEGATE AND COUNCILMAN BOSWORTH AS ALTERNATE DELEGATE TO THE ANNUAL MEETING AND TRAINING SESSION OF THE ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS IN NEW YORK CITY.
