Selectboard’s Work Session Minutes
Wednesday, February 18, 2015 – 4:30 PM

Public: The meeting was called to order at 4:30 PM by Chairwoman Davidson.

The Selectboard briefly reviewed a Town Report Printer’s proof.
4:30 PM: Mike Borden, Greenfield Building Inspector
At 4:30 PM Mike Borden came before the Selectboard to discuss the snow load on the Fire Department roof, and on other municipal buildings. Mr. Borden outlined his conversations with Tim Murray, DPW Supervisor. Murray had reached out to contractors in the area that could provide quick turn-around of snow removal. Mr. Borden said that he was especially worried the possibility of getting more snow on the Fire Department roof. With a snowstorm likely for the coming weekend, he advised the Board to authorize immediate snow removal from the Fire Department roof. After some discussion with the Board, Mr. Borden agreed that he would inspect the buildings in town in the morning and report back to the DPW Supervisor with his list of priorities. The Board thanked Mr. Borden for coming to the meeting.
4:50 PM: Selectboard Non-Public
At 4:50PM the Chair requested that the Board enter a non-public meeting to discuss a personnel matter. On a motion made by the Chair and seconded by Selectwoman Charig Bliss the Board voted on a roll call vote to enter into a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 IIa Personnel.
At 5:58PM The Board voted 3-0 to exit non-public session and to seal the minutes.
At 6:00PM the Chair left the meeting for an appointment.
6:00 PM: Work Session
Selectwoman Day and Selectwoman Charig Bliss discussed the benefit of having a roster of contractors for snowplowing, hauling gravel, and other DPW related jobs. This has been especially apparent for filling in when a DPW employee is out for medical leave, as is the case this past two months. On a motion by Selectwoman Day and a 2nd by Selectwoman Charig Bliss the Board voted to post an advertisement in the local paper with the intention of creating a roster of contactors that DPW can pull from during snow emergencies or for time sensitive projects, as determined by the DPW Supervisor, to include the relevant language outlining the insurance required by the Town. Selectwoman Charig Bliss seconded the motion. The motion passed 2-0
Adjournment
On a motion by the Selectwoman Day and a second by Selectwoman Charig Bliss, the Board voted to adjourn. The motion carried 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 6:25 PM.
The minutes are final when approved and signed by the Selectboard. A signed copy is on file in the Selectboard’s office.
