Selectboard’s Meeting Minutes
Monday, May 12, 2014 – 4:30 PM
Selectboard: Selectwoman Karen Day, Selectwoman Margaret Charig Bliss

The meeting was called to order at 4:30 PM by Selectwoman Day.
4:30 PM: 1st half of 2014 Property Tax Warrant
After review of the warrant, Selectwoman Day made a motion to accept the 1st half 2014 Property Tax Warrant for signature and noted that the 1st half bills will not include any adjustment from the 2014 property revaluation currently underway as required by law. The 1st half of 2014 Property Tax Warrant is calculated using ½ the value of the December 2013 bill. Updates that come from the revaluation process will be included in the 2nd billing for 2014, which will be due approximately December 1st. Any adjustments that come from the revaluation will be included in the 2nd half bills. Selectwoman Charig Bliss seconded the motion. The motion passed 2-0 with one absence.
At 4:45 the Tax Collector came before the Selectboard to briefly outline that she plans to use contract service funds to temporarily hire Bernadette Desmarais from Temple to help her with stuffing envelopes and getting the bills ready for mailing. The Tax Collector noted that she did this in 2013 and it was very helpful in getting the bills out on time.
Adjournment
On a motion by Selectwoman Day and a second by Selectwoman Charig Bliss, the Board voted to adjourn. The motion carried 2-0. The meeting adjourned at 4:55 PM.
The minutes are final when approved and signed by the Selectboard. A signed copy is on file in the Selectboard’s office.
