Selectmen Minutes 02/16/06

Present: Selectmen - Chairman, George Rainier; Selectman, William Brooks; Selectman, Conrad Dumas
Administrative Assistant, Debra Davidson taking minutes
Appointments:
5:30 – Code Officer, Peter Hopkins – To discuss the concerns of Richard Delay with regards to wanting to tear down the house and expanding parking for the store.  Mr. Hopkins received a phone call from Attorney, Norm Makecknie, who asked Peter to contact Mr. Delay regarding the ditch and the culvert behind Mr. Delay’s house.  The culvert goes from the banking off the parking lot, around the parking lot then to a culvert under the leachfield.  There is a break in the pipe and Mr. Delay is willing to fix it, but he doesn’t want any liability for the water if he fixes it.  Can he have permission to fix it?  Peter is going to recommend a site plan review and further comment that if Mr. Delay wants to repair the pipe on his property, it is his responsibility and if he changes the use of the property he must request a site plan review.

Cornwell Road – Hopkins reported that the situation where someone is living in a camper is stilling taking place.  Hopkins & the Chief of Police will contact the family and tell them that they must immediately cease living in the camper.  Follow up on the other circumstances, no changes to date.  This situation will remain under review.

5:45 – Brian Wakeman – Mr. Wakeman presented a proposal for maintenance of buildings.  He commented he has noticed an assortment of maintenance/safety concerns on the town buildings and he submitted a proposal for the overseeing of these buildings.  Selectmen thanked Mr. Wakeman for his proposal and they will get back to him.   Discussion will follow
