Selectmen’s Meeting Minutes
Wednesday – December 29, 2004 – 9:00 am
Present: Chairman, William Brooks; Selectman; George Rainier; Selectman, Conrad Dumas
The meeting was called to order at 9:00 am

On – going matters:
Recycling Bay – Recycling Bay update –
· Insulation – Deb reported that the only bid submitted has been from Builders Insulation, the price is $2,665.00; Selectmen requested a letter be prepared to send to Crotched Mtn., who has generously offered a donation for this -
· Electrical – Code Officer Hopkins did an electrical inspection and has no significant electrical concerns, at this time. However, he will put in a letter to Selectmen what he believes should be addressed.
Other Business:
Minutes - Accepted the minutes of December 16, 2004 Selectmen’s Meeting as written.
Selectmen Approval –
· P/R, A/P & Invoices – Payroll could not be printed to date, one employee has not submitted a time card. Due to the holiday Selectmen authorized using their signature stamp. Deb to contact Aaron to come sign payroll.
· Letter to PRIMEX – decision to bundle insurances with the Local Government Center.
· Letter to State of NH – Dept. of Resources & Economic Development –
Mail – Review misc. incoming mail –
Budget/Personnel Policies –
Personnel Policies - Selectmen have not yet approved the updated version
Budget –
· Electrician – Gen. Gov’t. Bldgs. – Alarm system - Monadnock Security will pay for ½ the cost of the installation.
· Keys – Review pricing for keys – Still waiting to hear from Doug Whiton
· Options for Warrant Articles- Selectmen discussed options for financing the Waste Water project additional funds. $75,000 or more of unreserved fund balance – this may avoid the need to have a bond hearing.
Fire/Rescue Dept. – Fire Chief, Loren White and Rescue Chief, David Hall will be meeting with Lyndeborough on January 5th. He was not sure of the time he was meeting. Selectmen discussed this meeting and would like to have at least one Selectman be at this meeting. Deb was instructed to discuss this with Chief White and to further notify Selectmen of the exact time of the meeting.
Advisory Budget Committee/BOS/Dept. Head Mtg. – Administrative Assistant notified Selectmen she cannot be here on January 7th, for that meeting, neither can Catherine. They both have prior commitments. Selectman Dumas stated that if he has a clean copy of a budget he would make notes in the margins.
Follow-up – Selectmen requested a follow-up letter be sent to Dr. & Mrs. Khouw
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:30 am. The next scheduled Selectmen’s Meeting is Friday, January 7, 2005 at 5:45 pm.
