Road Commission Minutes
Town of Greenfield, New Hampshire
December 4, 2015
Present: M. Steere-Chair, N. Nickerson and M. Merzi; T. Bascom – out of town.
Meeting opened at 5:30 PM at Greenfield Town Office Building.
- Discussion of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP); the Commission agreed to support the CIP at Town meeting.
- Question on DPW having 14 inch culvert certification-a course that allows the Town to replace culverts up to 14 inch diameter in the Town without state oversite. Will discuss with Neal.
- Scheduling of gravel road rebuilding/restoration. The Commission agreed that there should bescheduling and funding for gravel roads in the town similar to paving of roads.
- Replacement of DPW equipment, the Commission agrees that rebuilding of larger construction equipment (loader, grader, etc.) can be upgraded and certified at less cost through rebuilding.
- Next meeting to be scheduled in early January.
